Mindful vs. Mind Full- Why This is Important 🤔

We are all familiar with the excessive thoughts that we may have from time to time. At times they seem uncontrollable and not really coming "from" us. Have you ever had a thought that shocked you, like I can't believe I just "thought" that! It is seemingly coming from outside of us but going on inside of us.

These thoughts are merely constructs from the subliminal programming from our external environment. When we are not aware of what is going on around us and are letting life "happen" to us than all kinds of toxic ideas can permeate our minds and influence our ideology which can essentially shape our realties while forming behaviors.

When we allow these thought forms to control us, it can cause stress in our bodies. Many people in our society are afflicted with stress. Our nervous system is composed of two parts that handle stress. These are called the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. The sympathetic nervous system is designed to elicit fight or flight activity when presented with immediate danger. We are overexciting this system unnecessarily when get overly emotional to every day occurrences such as traffic, work, co-workers, school, etc...

The key to balance out these systems is to work on mindful activity. The most beneficial activity is simply breathing. Learning the proper way to breathe from the diaphragm will give your body the adequate amount of oxygen it needs in order to stay calm when presented by societal stressors.

Take at least 5minutes of every day to do mindful breathing and then increase the time if desired. This will cause a change in your overall mood and life experience.

Take a moment and lets breathe:
